We all have certain things we have a hard time keeping in check—bad habits, thought patterns, coping mechanisms, unhelpful desires, unhealthy relationships. It’s usually not something we’re proud of. We want to deal with it, but quietly. Which is code for—alone. But somehow, protecting our pride seems to make the problem worse. What do we do with the parts of us that have gotten out of control? Where do we take them? Who do we talk to? How do we get help? Is healing even possible?
