The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God and He will bless the rest (Leviticus 27:30, Deuteronomy 14:23). This first is the “tithe”, which simply means returning a “tenth”, or ten percent, of our income to God through our local church. We use the term return and not give because we believe that we don’t have anything that didn’t come from God’s hand to begin with, and anything we bring to him is returned.
If you’ve been attending South Hills for a little while and you have not yet taken the next step of becoming a tither, a great way to start is with the 90 Day Challenge. Essentially, it's a contract based on the promises of God in Malachi 3:10: “Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”
We commit to you that if you tithe for 90 days and God doesn't hold true to His promises of blessings, we will refund 100% of your tithe. No questions asked.
ARE YOU READY TO START YOUR FAITH JOURNEY? FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW.
1. REGISTER
Let us know that you're committing to giving a full tithe (the first 10% of your income) for the next 90 days by completing a registration. We'll be sending you resources and praying that you'll see God show up like He promises in his word. God doesn't promise that you'll win the lotto, but He does promise to bless you in ways you won't believe.
2. RETURN 10% TO GOD
Return your tithe in one of 3 ways that can be tracked in our database for the 90-day period:
o During Sunday services in the envelope provided in your chair back pocket
o Online at southhillscorona.com/give
o Through the Pushpay app, which can be downloaded to your phone through your Apple or Android store
3. RECORD YOUR STORY
Record what God has done in your life for 90 days and share your story with us.
At the end of the 90 days, if you can honestly say that God hasn’t blessed you, e-mail or call us and we will refund your 90 days of giving. No questions asked. We won’t question or harass you or try to talk you out of it.
So, come on. God challenges us to put Him to the test on this one. Try it and see what He does in your life!
